NRH Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDoC) Study Day 

Date: Saturday 7th March, 2026
Venue: Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin
Time: 09.00 – 16:00
Who should attend: the course is suitable for all healthcare workers in hospital and community settings, working with patients with Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness. 
Places available: There are 80 places available. Please note that this course is in high demand, so early booking is advised.

Cost per delegate, to include morning refreshments and lunch

  • Early Bird Rate: €200.00 per delegate – book by 5th February
  • Regular Rate: €250 per delegate 

HSE Staff Rate: 

  • Early Bird Rate – €100.00 per delegate (book by 5th February);  €150 thereafter

This one-day study day aims to increase knowledge and confidence of those working with patients in Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDoC).

We welcome all clinicians involved in the care of this patient group who wish to improve their knowledge, care and management of patients in PDoC, and to learn more about how best to support their families.

Study Day Aims & Objectives

  • Share knowledge and information on the care of a person with a Prolonged Disorder of Consciousness
  • Share best practice guidelines
  • Provide advice on supporting friends and families
  • Develop an informal national network for services working with Patients with Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness

 

 

 

 

Booking Deadline: 7 working days prior to course date

Cancellations: Cancellation Policy up to 7 working days before the event, after this substitution of delegates permitted only. Please email academicdept@nrh.ie with any changes.

Payment: Payment can be made by Credit or Debit card, Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), or may be invoiced. Please include a Purchase Order (PO) number for invoicing, or EFT bank transfer receipt with booking form.
