Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the conference scientific subcommittee. Selection will be based on the quality of the abstract submission, relevance to theme, innovation, clarity, and impact. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 31st October 2025.

Join healthcare leaders, innovators, forward-thinking professionals and people with lived experience of rehabilitation services for a transformative event designed to inspire, educate and connect.
This conference, hosted by the National Rehabilitation Hospital, brings together health professionals, policy makers, researchers, support agencies, people with lived experience of rehabilitation, and international guest speakers. It will provide a forum to discuss and exchange experiences, expertise, insights and ideas related to the field of specialist rehabilitation. This sharing of knowledge across the continuum of care is essential to the ongoing development of integrated specialist rehabilitation services in Ireland, within the overall context of wider health service developments, nationally and internationally.
The conference will:
- Focus expertise and harness energy in developing fit-for-purpose specialist rehabilitation services for Ireland
- Discuss the best use of available resources to provide quality, efficient, cost-effective rehabilitation services in an evolving healthcare environment
- Explore how service users can access the appropriate services for their individual rehabilitation needs when, where and how they need them
- Consider ways to strengthen the infrastructure supporting the provision of specialist rehabilitation on a national, regional and community basis, to optimise care pathways, sustainable outcomes and patient & family experience
- Help foster collaborative practices among all relevant stakeholders
- Provide an update on the ‘Rehabilitation 2030’ global initiative launched by the World Health Organization
Who should attend: The conference is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals and people with lived experience of rehabilitation to connect, share insights and explore initiatives for developing rehabilitation services for Ireland. The conference is for all those in the healthcare sector who have an interest in, or are involved in service planning, provision, integration, and developing specialist rehabilitation services in hospitals and in the community.
