This course is intended for qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. The course comprises three linked modules over three weekends to support healthcare professionals to participate and balance competing workloads. Delegates must be able to attend all three modules.
These modules are designed to introduce course participants to the assessment and treatment of adults with neurological dysfunction. The modules consist of theoretical and practical sessions and patient demonstrations.
Course Aims
The course will offer you the opportunity to;
– Gain an understanding of the neurophysiological basis underlying the current Bobath Concept.
– Develop your ability to use the current Bobath Concept in the assessment and treatment of patients with neurological dysfunction.
– Develop your skills of observation, analysis and facilitation of movement.
– Expand your clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
– Describe and measure consequences of neurological dysfunction and the impact that your rehabilitation intervention based on the Bobath Concept may have.
– Link the current evidence base and your clinical practice.

Qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists registered with CORU or HCPC.

Cost: €600. Registration fee includes: course materials; lunch on Saturdays, morning refreshments on both days, and free parking.

Certification / Accreditation: Attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
